Sports Betting
Sports Betting
Sports bets are most commonly placed on the outcome of a single event or game. In virtually all contests, there is a favorite and an underdog.
In order to make wagering more even, the oddsmaker draws up an odds line, or the odds, such that you can bet on the probability of a competitor's win.
For example, former world heavyweight champion Mike Tyson steps into the boxing ring to square off against "Rocky" star Sylvester Stallone. In this case, Tyson is obviously the favorite and Stallone the underdog.
The oddsmaker would then post the odds that probably would look something like this:
Tyson = 1 to 9 (noted as 1/9)
Stallone = 7 to 1 (noted as 7/1)
To win $1 on Tyson, you must wager $9. If he wins, you get $10 back, the $9 you bet plus the $1 you won.
On the other hand, to win $7 on Stallone, you need only wager $1. If Stallone wins, you get $8 back, the $1 you bet plus the $7 you won.
Moneyline
If a moneyline is posted, the lines may appear as follows:
Tyson -120
Stallone +240
By clicking on either -120 or +240, you are betting on who you think will win the match. To win $1 on Tyson, you must wager $1.20. If he wins, you get $2.20 back, the $1.20 you bet plus the $1 you won. If you bet $1 on Stallone and he wins, you get $3.40 back, the $1 you bet plus the $2.40 you won.
Pointspread
If you want to bet on a pointspread when teams are involved, you may have the choice of the following:
New York -3
Philadelphia +3
If you click on -3 for New York, they must win by more than 3 points for you to win your bet. If you click on +3 Philadelphia, they may lose by 2 points or win outright for you to win your bet. If the +/- 3 adjustment results in a tie, the wager is push and you will get your money back. Games featuring 1/2 points will never push and will always end as a win or loss.

Straight Sports Betting
Definition of Sports Betting
A single or straight bet is a wager on the outcome of a single event or game. The wager is determined by a Pointspread, a Moneyline, a Game Total, a Runline or Puckline. The team or event wagered on must win the game or event either outright or by covering the spread. The payout is determined by the odds posted.
Payouts
Payouts for a single bet depend on the odds given by the house for the bet you have placed. Whether the bet is a moneyline, pointspread, runline or puckline, it's the odds that will dictate your payout.
Simply translate the odds (represented usually as a moneyline -110, -180, +140 etc.) to the multiplier (the Payoff Price plus one). Then, take the multiplier and multiply this by your bet to find out your Payout or Win (Payoff Price plus your original bet).
|
Multi-Single Betting
Definition
The Multi-Singles function is a convenient way for users to enter multiple single bets at one time. Users of this feature will be able to select a number of individual wagers, up to a maximum of 20, select the bet amount to apply to their single bets, and confirm their multiple single wagers with one single click.

Sports Betting on Futures
Definition
Futures are single wagers placed on the outcomes of events, which are determined at sometime in the future. For example, a future may involve picking the winner of the NFL championship, the Stanley Cup, or the World Series.
Payouts
Payouts for a futures bet depend on the odds given by the house for each bet you have placed. Usually futures bets are represented by basic, fixed odds (although sometimes a moneyline or a multiplier may be featured) with your payout being dictated by those posted odds.
To calculate your payout, simply translate the odds (a moneyline such as -110, -180, +140 etc., or fixed odds such as 3/1) to a multiplier (the Payoff Price plus one). Take the multiplier and multiply this by your bet to determine your Payout or Win Amount (Payoff Price plus your original bet).
Rules
- Wagers must be on the outcome of a single event or game.
- The team wagered on must win the league or tournament.
All wagers have action regardless of relocation or name changes.

Sportsbook Prop Betting
Definition
A prop or proposition bet is a wager with 2 or more outcomes that are not directly related to the final score of an event. One notable characteristic of props is that they are rarely allowed to be placed in any type of combo bet. Bets such as these are also called exotics. Most featured props are usually single bets only
For example, a bet on how many yards Peyton Manning will throw in his next game: less than 100; 101-150; 151-200; 201-250; 251-300 or 300+. There will be posted odds for each outcome.
A common entry in Prop Bets is a Field entry. This is a catch-all category for any competitor not specifically listed in the prop, but is competing in the event.
For example, a prop on a PGA event might list odds for the best 30 players: Tiger Woods 1/1, David Duval 5/1, etc. As PGA events often have 75 or more competitors, the other 45+ players that do not have odds posted individually would be listed indirectly as part of the Field. If any of the players in the Field win, the Field would be declared the winner for wagering purposes.
Payouts
Payouts for a proposition bet will depend on the odds given by the house for each bet you have placed. The type of wager, whether the bet is a moneyline, multiplier, or basic odds, will dictate your payout accordingly.
To calculate a payout, simply translate the odds (a moneyline such as -110, -180, +140 etc., or fixed odds such as 3/1) to a multiplier (the Payoff Price plus one). Take the multiplier and multiply this by your bet to determine your Payout or Win Amount (Payoff Price plus your original bet).
Rules
- Player(s) in a 1 or 2 player prop must enter game for wagers to have action. (e.g. Head-to-Head Passing Yards.)
- In a prop with 3 or more players, all wagers have action even if a player does not play for any reason. (e.g. Super Hoops.)

Parlay Sports Betting
Definition
A parlay, also known as a combo bet, is a "selection of two or more wagering outcomes". All of the teams wagered on must win for the play to be active. If any one team loses, the entire wager is lost altogether. You may combine different sports, pointspreads and moneylines in win/loss and/or totals betting. If there is no action or cancellation, the parlay reverts to the next lowest number. For example, a 3-team parlay becomes a 2-team parlay. In the event of a tie in a 2-team parlay, the play becomes a straight bet. A "Combo" is the same as a parlay, except this term is used more commonly in soccer. A "Combo" bet is simply more than one selection from the games listed - usually from the soccer leagues. As in a parlay, you need to predict the result after 90 minutes of play (golden goals and overtime goals do not count) of all games that you pick.
Soccer on the moneyline is a three-outcome event, which means that you can pick either of the two teams to win, or you can pick a draw. If you do NOT pick the draw, and the game ends in a tie, then the wager is a loss.
Payouts
Fixed Odds (No moneylines)
In fixed odds bets, the odds are fixed at standard odds -110 or 10% juice ($110 bet winning $100). The fixed odds are set according to the chart below and only apply to football and basketball pointspreads or totals. All the picks must have standard odds. If any of the picks involve other sports, Moneylines, or off-standard lines (-115, etc.), then the parlay becomes subject to True Odds.

True Odds
To calculate the true odds payoff, simply convert the moneyline or odds to a multiplier (by going to the calculation table), and then multiply your bet by the product of the multipliers. For example, if you make a $10 parlay on two picks with true odds of -140 converts to 1.71 and odds of +120 converts to 2.20. Therefore, your payout is as follows: 10 x 1.71 x 2.20 = $37.62. Note that this payout includes your original wager, so the net win in this example would be $27.62.
Parlay Sports Betting Rules
- A tie in a parlay reduces the number of plays in the parlay. For example, if a 4-play parlay has two ties, then it will become a 2-play parlay and the payout will be recalculated based on the new number of plays. A 2-play parlay with one tie will reduce to a straight bet. In the case that a parlay is reduced to zero plays, the entire wager will be cancelled and the whole bet amount refunded.
- All propositions must cover for the parlay to be considered a win (exception: ties reduce, see above). If any proposition loses, the entire parlay will be considered a loss. There are no partial payouts.
- Games not played on the date specified are considered "No Action" and reduce the parlay to the next lowest number of plays. For Example: A 6-play parlay will be reduced to a 5-play parlay, a 2-play parlay will be reduced to a straight wager. Payouts are adjusted accordingly.
- You can combine a maximum of four lines from the same game, according to the following:
- Any segment (Game, 1H, or 2H) Over
- Any segment (Game, 1H, or 2H) Under
- Any segment (Game, 1H, or 2H) Team A (point spread or moneyline)
- Any segment (Game, 1H, or 2H) Team B (point spread or moneyline)
For example, suppose the Seattle Seahawks are playing the Dallas Cowboys. You want to combine your bet on Dallas for the first half (1H) with bets on other segments of the same game. You can't combine your bet with any other Dallas bet for that game (Game, 1H, or 2H); however, you can combine it with one Over, one Under, and one bet on Seattle. The following parlay would be valid:
- Dallas (1H) with Seattle (2H) with Over (1H) with Under (Game)
The following parlays would be invalid:
- Dallas (1H) with Dallas (2H), even if one bet is a moneyline and the other is a point spread
- Over (1H) with Over (2H) with Over (Game)

Sports Betting - Placing Teasers
Definition
A teaser is a selection of two or more outcomes in a single wager in which either the pointspread or total is adjusted in the bettor's favor. Each sport has its own range of points for teaser selections. A teaser adjusts the spread for the favorite so that it decreases the posted spread, or conversely, increases the posted spread for the underdog. If you select a total, the adjustment makes totals higher-to-go-under or lower-to-go-over.
Only the following sports/line-types may be teased:
- football spreads/totals by 6, 6.5 or 7 points.
- basketball spreads/totals by 4, 4.5 or 5 points.
Example:
If the lines you want to tease are Denver Broncos +3 and NY Jets vs. NY Giants over 37, your 2-team 6-point teaser would be:
Denver Broncos +9
Jet/Giants over 31
Both results need to be correct for this teaser to be a winner.
Sweetheart Teasers
A Sweetheart Teaser is a special teaser for both basketball and football, where you have the choice of incorporating either 3 or 4 picks (teams). Instead of the regular points, you may tease football by 10 (3 team) and 13 (4 team) points and basketball by 8 (3 team) and 10 (4 team) points. The payout in a 3 team sweetheart teaser is 10/11 and the payout in a 4 team sweetheart teaser is 5/6. A push in a sweetheart teaser is a loss. Sweetheart teasers never reduce. There are no Sweetheart Teasers for baseball.
Example:
If the lines you want to tease are Denver Broncos +3, NY Jets vs. NY Giants over 37, and Oakland Raiders -5, your 3-team Sweetheart teaser (10 points) would be
Denver Broncos +13
Jet/Giants over 27
Oakland +5
Cross-sport Teasers - Football with Basketball
You may also bet cross-sport teasers. When you wager on cross-sport teasers with football and basketball, the points you receive remain in the same category:
- Football 6.0 points with basketball 4.0 points
- Football 6.5 points with basketball 4.5 points
- Football 7.0 points with basketball 5.0 points
- Football 10.0 points with basketball 8.0 points (Sweetheart Teaser)
For example, if you want to tease your football picks by 6, you'll have to tease your corresponding basketball pick(s) by 4. If you tease your basketball picks by 5 points, you'll have to tease your corresponding football pick(s) by 7 points.
Example:
If the line you want to tease are Denver Broncos +3 and LA Lakers -10, your 2-team 6-point-football and 4-point-basketball teaser would be:
Denver Broncos +9 (teased 6 points)
LA Lakers -6 (teased 4 points)
Both results need to be correct for this teaser to be a winner.
Note: You may not combine football/basketball in four team sweetheart teasers.

Teaser Rules
There are no partial payouts. All propositions must cover for the teaser to be considered a win. (Exception: a push in a regular teaser reduces the payout). If any proposition loses, the entire teaser will be considered a loss.
A push in a regular teaser of 3 teams or more reduces the number of plays in the teaser. For example, a 4-team teaser has two pushes, it will become a 2-team teaser and the payout will be recalculated based on the new number of plays.
A push in a 2-team regular teaser results in a push. Also, if any portion of a 2-team teaser has a result of "No Action", the entire teaser will be graded "No Action".
A push in a Sweetheart Teaser is a loss. Sweetheart teasers never reduce and must have ALL propositions cover for the teaser to be considered a win. If any portion of a Sweetheart teaser has a result of "No Action", the entire Sweetheart teaser will be graded "No Action".
Games not played on the date specified are considered "No Action" and will reduce the teaser to the next lowest number of plays. Payouts are adjusted accordingly.
Maximum number of selections in a regular football or basketball teaser is 10.

Sports Betting - If Bets
Definition
An 'If' bet is a selection of two straight wagers joined together on one betting ticket by an 'if' clause. This type of wager allows you to increase your betting power and limit your risk by placing two straight bets on one betting ticket where your second bet will only have action 'if' your first bet in the sequence is successful. An 'If' bet will place the second bet immediately upon success of the first bet. An 'If' bet is also useful if you want to make more than one bet, but do not have adequate funds in your account to cover the second bet unless the first bet wins.
There are two types of action you can select when placing an 'If' bet, 'If Win Only' and 'Action'. 'If Win Only' means the second part of the wager only has action if the first part of the wager is a win. If the first leg is settled as a push, no action, or canceled the amount risked is returned to your Bodog account. 'Action' means if for any reason the first part of the wager is settled as a win, push, no action, or canceled the second part of the wager is then placed.
Example:
New England Patriots -8 $110 to win $100
Action (If win, push, no action, or canceled)
Buffalo Bills +4 $110 to win $100
Risk $110 (Maximum Risk) to win $200 (Maximum Win)
If the Patriots lose, the wager is a $110 loss and stops there. If the Patriots win, the account will be credited $100 and the wager continues with $110 wagered on the Bills. If the Bills win, the wager is a $200 winner and, if the Bills lose, the wager is a $10 loss. If the Patriots wager is a push, no action or canceled then the wager is essentially becomes a single wager, $110 to win $100 on the Bills.
Please note: The wager description will always display the MAXIMUM risk amount, being the most you can lose with a loss of the first or second of the two wagers, and the MAXIMUM win amount, being the most you can win with both wagers winning on the ticket.
If Betting Rules
- Only two bets can be included in an "If" bet.
- Circled games, parlays and teasers cannot be included in an 'If' bet.
- An 'If' bet must be placed prior to the start time of the earliest event on the ticket.
- The first bet amount may not exceed the normal house limit.
- The second bet amount MUST EQUAL the amount of the first bet.
- In an 'If Win' sequence, the second bet will not have action unless the first bet is a win.
- In an 'If Action' sequence, the second bet will not have action unless the first bet is a win, push, no action, or canceled.
- You cannot place 'If' bets including futures or props.
When placing an If-Bet with two different start times, the wager will be laid out according to the order in which the games appear on the wagering board. Therefore, the situation could arise, where the latter game appears on the first leg of the If-Betting slip. In order to switch the order of your picks, you must select "Switch my Picks", to bring the earlier game to the first leg.
|
Reverse Sports Betting
Definition
A reverse bet is a series of 'If' bets going both forward and in "reverse" order. Each team included in the reverse bet will pair with the other team to form two 'if' bets.
Example:
1st part:
New England Patriots -8 $110 to win $100
Action (If win, push, "No Action", or canceled)
Buffalo Bills (-175)
Risk $110 to win $63
2nd part:
Buffalo Bills (-175) $110 to win $63
Action (If win, push, "No Action", or canceled)
New England Patriots -8
Risk $110 to win $100
Total risk $220 (Maximum Risk) to win $326 (Maximum Win)
- If the Patriots and the Bills both win you will win $163 on the 1st part of the reverse wager and $163 on the second part, for total winnings of $326.
- If the Patriots win and the Bills lose you will lose $10 on the first part of the reverse wager and $110 on the second part, for total losses of $120
- If the Bills win and the Patriots lose you will lose $110 on the first part of the reverse wager and $47 on the second part, for total losses of $157.
- If one team pushes, is "No Action" or is canceled and the other team is a loss you will lose $220.
- If one team pushes, is "No Action" or is canceled and the other team wins you will win either $126 for the Bills or $200 for the Patriots.
Please note: The wager description will always display the MAXIMUM risk amount, being the most you can lose with a loss of the first and second of the two wagers, and the MAXIMUM win amount, being the most you can win with both wagers winning on the ticket.
Reverse Betting Rules
- Only the four major sports: football, basketball, baseball, and hockey can be included in reverse bets.
- Only two bets can be included in a reverse bet.
- Circled games, parlays and teasers cannot be included in reverse bets.
- A reverse bet must be placed prior to the start time of the earliest event on the ticket.
- Both bet amounts MUST BE EQUAL.
- In reverse bets, each part or sequence has "If Action". The second bet will not have action unless the first bet is a win, push, no action, or canceled.
- You cannot place reverse bets for futures or props.

Round Robin Sports Betting
Definition
A Round Robin is a convenient way to enter multiple parlays at one time. They allow you to select between three and eight picks, choose to parlay or tease the bets, and combine them in parlays of two to six teams.
Example:
If you are confident in the New England Patriots -8, Buffalo Bills +4 and Minnesota Vikings -10, but you do not want to parlay them in a three-team parlay, you can choose to parlay them in three separate two-team parlays.
1st parlay:
New England Patriots -8
Buffalo Bills +4
Risk $5 to win $13
2nd parlay:
New England Patriots -8
Minnesota Vikings -10
Risk $5 to win $13
3rd parlay:
Buffalo Bills +4
Minnesota Vikings -10
Risk $5 to win $13
Your total risk amount for the three team, two way parlay is $15.00 (Max Risk) to win $39. (Max Win)
Round Robin Betting Rules:
- Standard parlays rules apply.
- The minimum number of teams in a Round-Robin is 3, the maximum is 8.
- The minimum number of parlay combinations is 2 and the maximum is 6.
- You cannot place same-game parlays in Round-Robins.

ONLINE POKER BETTING BASICS
Betting is generally started with an ante to get the cards dealt. The ante may range from anything from a small penny to virtually any other thing according to the wish of the player. The entire bet money is placed at the center of the table and is termed as Pot. Pot is won by the player who stays in the game till the end with the highest hand.
This is to be remembered that betting is always done clockwise, giving all the player their equal turn , and during the time of betting, the plyer has the option of choosing form any three of the following choices entirely depending upon his wish and expertise. Choosing this also depends upon the hands and other factors.
Call
Call is a procedure in which you bet enough to compensate the difference between you last bet and your opponent bet to stay in the game. The following example explains it clearly.
Suppose in a imaginary game Peter bet for 10 cents when got his turn. Peter's opponent Jason then bids for 20 cents on his turn. When Again Peter gets his turn, if he wishes to remain in the game, he need to compensate 10 cents by putting them in the pot. That means now Peter and Jason both have kept 20 cents in total in the pot. That means at no stage two or more players stay in the game by giving less amount in the pot than the amount which has been currently bet upon.
Raise
If a player wants to say in the game and raise his bet the first thing he has to do is to compensate the difference between the opponent call and his call in the last turn. Then he can bet for the additional amount. That is the higher bet on the second chance, this is called raise. There may or may not be a limit set for the raise.
Let us again consider a hypothetical game where the raise limit is set to 8 cents. Suppose I bid for 10 cents and then my opponent bids for 20 cents. If now I wish to raise, First I need to put the difference amount that is 10 cents in the pot. Next I put additional amount in the pot which should not be less than 8 cents (raise Limit). This additional amount becomes the raise in the bid. And if other players need to stay in the game, have to make a call or raise.
Fold
In case a player finds the current bid is too high for him to compete in the game, He chooses to fold. That is he withdraws himself from the game and thus looses the chance of winning the pot. In such a scenario he looses all the money he putted earlier in the pot to remain in the game. It is very important to estimate, when one should fold.
Your must understand and remember that betting is an art. A bad hand can even win over a good hand if betting is done with conscience and intelligence. The game is a art which can be mastered by plasticizing and learning.

Texas Hold'em Poker
Texas Hold'em - this is one of the most favorite and
most popular forms of poker played around the world. Quite
easy and simple to learn, make this game a very adaptable
type of verity.

the community cards are: 5 of diamonds, 8 of spades, 7 of
clubs, 6 of hearts and an ace of diamonds.
Which player o wins? You, because you can form a straight

pairs (pair of aces and a pair of fives).
Steps of play
Important Rule: Most of the time four round betting scheme
is applied. The entire betting is done in four steps. For
the first two rounds you can bet or raise only as per the
minimum amount permissible. During the last two the bets

Blind bets are made the beginning of the game. The player
who sits to the left of the dealer starts the blind bet.
Then two cards are dealt facing-down to each Player
First round of betting - Here you can fold, bet, or raise.
Only one bet, and three raises per Player are allowed on
the first round.

in combination of your both pocket cards and three
communal cards, one pocket card and four communal cards,
all five communal cards

Goal of the game: To finish with the best poker
hand and win the pot.
Steps of the game: 3 cards are dealt to each player, 2 of
them being "hole cards", and one card is exposed. After
the initial deal betting round starts. The poker players
then gets 3 more exposed cards, one at a time, and there
exist a betting round after each deal. Another hole card
is dealt and the last betting round is done after which
players exposes their hidden cards. Then the hands are
compared,
highest 5-card poker hand wins the poker pot.
Sequence of play : All the players puts an ante on
the table
3rd Street - 3 cards are dealt to each player, 2 of
them are personal cards ("hole cards" also known as
"pocket cards"), and one card is exposed (door card). At
this point, the Player with the lowest card is to start
the betting.
First round of betting takes place - options are to
check, fold, bet, or raise.
4th Street - the fourth card is dealt - face-up and
begins the 2nd Betting round. Players can choose to check,
fold, bet, or raise in their turn.
5th Street - the fifth card is dealt - face-up and
then the 3rd betting round takes place.
Betting round options are to check, fold, bet, or raise.
6th Street - the sixth card is dealt - face-up.
Now, 4th round of betting takes place and its valid
options for the players are to check, fold, bet, or raise.
River Card /7th Street- Here the final card is
dealt facing it down this time.
Final round of betting follows. If two or more Players are
still there in the game for the pot when the betting
concludes, the hands are shown
The Showdown! All remaining Players create the best
possible poker hand using 5 out of the 7 cards. The two
Players with the best high and low hands split the pot!
Finally few useful tips
- The cards which could have improved your hand
considerably are visible in your opponent's hands, don't
think about them they are dead for you.
- In a suit there are 13 cards, you need five cards to
make a flush. If the cards you are looking for is with
your opponent's hand then it is obvious that they won't
be dealt to you. On the other hand, if you can't see
them, chances are there that they will be dealt to u. so
plan your hand accordingly.
- While betting you can go on betting high money if
you have a "big pair", restrict yourself when you see
your opponent betting more then you, that dose means
that he is having bigger pair in his hands
- Fifth Street is a make or break point. As you know
the bet amount will be doubled every round so you must
be sure that you have a winning hand other wise abstain
from betting this will save further loses.
- Don't hesitate to fold if another Player's exposed
cards beat your entire hand. Because in most of such
cases you chance of loosing is high.
- If you are trying to compete a straight, check to
see if another Player displays the cards you need.
- You can then adjust your strategy accordingly
- Fold when necessary. Seven-Card Stud poker is a game
of patience; so do not bet all your money on losing
hands.

Five Card Stud Poker
Five card stud is another form of poker which is very
interesting and comparatively easy to play. The reason for
the ease of play is the number of visible cards helps a
person to judge the strength of his hand.
Goal of the game - To finish with the best poker hand, and
win the pot!
How to play Five Card Stud?
There are four betting rounds exclusive of the ante. On
the first round of betting, the Player with the lowest
value door card starts the betting which must be at least
equal to half the minimum bet for the game. In proceeding
rounds, the Player with the highest hand has to initiate
the betting. In case of tie in hand rankings, the left
most Player to the dealer initiates the betting. At the
end, the hand with highest rank wins.
Steps of the game
Step 1: All the players put an ante on the table
Step 2: Deal is done and the players are given two cards.
One being faces down (Pocket card) and the other faces up.
Betting is initiated by the player who has the lowest
value card
Step 3: Again deal is done and each player get their share
of single visible card and betting takes place.
Step 4: Each player gets their 3rd visible card and a
round of betting takes place.
Step5: Finally each player again gets their 4th visible
card which makes total of five cards inclusive of the
pocket card.
Final step: All the players who have not folded, shows
their hand and the player with highest hand ranking wins
the race.

Omaha High-Low Poker
About Omaha High Low
This game has a twist over Omaha high. Every thing in
Omaha High/Low is same as a regular game of Omaha high
except that in Omaha High/Low the pot won is divided
equally into the best high hand and the best qualifying
low hand. This game consists of 5 cards.
Goal of the game - To finish with the highest or
lowest poker hand
How Omaha High/Low is played?
Omaha high /
high-low Poker being a "community card" game, few cards
are dealt face-up in the middle of the table to be shared
by all the players while Each player receives four down
cards of their own. The points combine from three
community cards and two hole cards to make one's poker
hand.
Steps of the play
Step 1: The player has to choose a table and must
buy-in chips which should be atleast of ten times of the
lower bet as decided in the game. So, if you are playing
with lower limit set to $5 and higher limit set to $10.
Then the minimum buy-in for you will be $50.
Step 2: Four cards (Hole cards) are dealt face down
to each player, followed by a round of betting. Play
proceeds clockwise from the blinds, with each player has
the option to fold, call the blind bet, or raise.
Step 3: Three cards (flop) are dealt face up in the
middle of the poker table. A round of betting Takes place
which is initiated by the player who is immediate to the
dealers left.
Step 4: Another card is dealt face up (the "turn")
followed by another round of betting again initiated by
the immediate left hand of the dealer.
Final step: The final card (river) is dealt
followed by the final round of betting. Finally the hands
are exposed and the player with higher and lower hand
rankings shares the pot.

Video Poker
Rules for Video Poker and Variants!
Jacks or Better | Jokers Wild | Deuces Wild
The rules for video poker are pretty easy to understand. The ranking of the hand in video poker is the same as in regular poker. Since it is not possible to bluff, because the game is played on a machine, of course, the only goal is to get the best paying hand. Start to play by pressing the Deal/Draw button. The poker machine deals a five card hand. Underneath each card will be a button where you can decide which cards you want to keep and which you want to throw away.
You can hold or throw away as many cards as you like. After you make your selection which cards you want to hold or discard, you may press the Deal/Draw button again and the machine will replace the cards you choose to throw away with new ones. If you have a winning hand after this second deal you get paid.
Underneath are lists of ranking hands and pay outs for the most common video poker games.
Jacks or Better
Winning hands starting with the lowest:
Pair of Jacks or better / Pair of Jacks ,Queens, Kings or Aces (As the hand name says), returns your stake.
Two Pairs / A hand with Two Pairs (Two Tens and Two Queens for instance), pays double your stake.
Three of a Kind / Three cards of the same Value (Three Nines for instance), pays triple your stake.
Straight / Five consecutive cards but not from the same Suit (8, 9, 10, Jack, Queen), pays 3 times your stake.
Flush / Five cards of the same Suit (7, 9, 10, Queen, Ace), they need not to be in particular order, pays 5 to 6 times your stake.
Full House / Two cards of one Value and Three cards of another Value (Two Sevens, Three Kings), pays 6 to 9 times your stake.
Four of a Kind / Four cards of the same Value (Four Kings for instance), pays 25 times your stake.
Straight Flush / Five cards of the same Suit in consecutive order (8, 9, 10, Jack, Queen of Diamonds), pays 50 times your stake.
Royal Flush / Same as the Straight Flush but highest card must be Ace (10, Jack, Queen, King, Ace), pays 250 times if you bet from 1 to 4 coins and 4000 times if you make a five coin bet.
Jokers Wild
Jokers Wild is played with a regular 52 card Poker deck and as a wild card a Joker is added. You can use this Joker as any card you want. This, of course, increases your chance of a winning combination in video poker. The Joker comes up in one of ten deals on average. The pay outs are also slightly different.
Winning hands starting with the lowest:
Two Pairs / A hand with Kings or Aces, returns your stake.
Three of a Kind / Three cards of the same Value (Three Nines for instance), pays 2 times your stake.
Straight / Five consecutive cards but not from the same Suit (8, 9, 10, Jack, Queen), pays 3 times your stake.
Flush / Five cards of the same Suit (7, 9, 10, Queen, Ace), they need not to be in particular order, pays 5 times your stake.
Full House / Two cards of one Value and Three cards of another Value (Two Sevens, Three Kings), pays 5 or 8 times your stake.
Four of a Kind / Four cards of the same Value (Four Kings for instance), pays 15 or 20 times your stake.
Straight Flush / Five cards of the same Suit in consecutive order (8, 9, 10, Jack, Queen of Diamonds), pays 40 or 50 times your stake.
Joker Royal Flush / Same as the Straight Flush but one of the five cards must be a Joker (7, 8, Joker, 10, Jack), pays 100 times your stake.
Deuces Wild
If you play Deuces Wild you always have to remember that you can use the four Two's (Deuces) as Wild Cards. You can use them as any card you want to, in any Suit and in any Rank. So you could use the Two of Diamonds to complete a Straight Flush in Hearts. Make sure you always keep that in mind when you play. This feature increases your winning chances a lot. Due to this higher chance of winning the lowest winning hand is a Three of a Kind.
Winning hands starting with the lowest:
Three of a Kind / Three cards of the same Value (Three Nines for instance), returns your stake.
Straight / Five consecutive cards but not from the same Suit (8, 9, 10, Jack, Queen), pays 2 times your stake.
Flush / Five cards of the same Suit (7, 9, 10, Queen, Ace), they need not to be in particular order, pays 2 or 3 times your stake.
Full House / Two cards of one Value and Three cards of another Value (Two Sevens, Three Kings), pays 3 or 4 times your stake.
Four of a Kind / Four cards of the same Value (Four Kings for instance), pays 4 or 5 times your stake.
Straight Flush / Five cards of the same Suit in consecutive order (8, 9, 10, Jack, Queen of Diamonds), pays 8 or 10 times your stake.
The hands above pay the same whether they contain Two's or not. The hands below, however, need to contain at least one Two:
Five of a Kind / Five cards of the same Value (Including One Deuce or more: Four Nines and One Two for instance), pays 15 or 16 times your stake.
Wild Royal Flush / Five cards of the same Suit in consecutive order where the
Ace must be the highest, (Containing One or more Two's: 10, Jack, Two, King, Ace for instance), pays 25 or 30 times your stake.
Four Deuces / A hand with Four Deuces, pays 200 times your stake.
Royal Flush Without Deuces / Five cards of the same Suit in consecutive order where the Ace must be the highest, (10, Jack, Queen, King, Ace), pays 250 times if you bet from 1 to 4 coins and 4000 times if you make a five coin bet.
